Listener: I awakened in the Fifth Watch hearing these words from Holy Spirit: Get up; have Communion and pray. You are an intercessor. Intercede. Listener: I asked, “Lord, for whom do I pray, and for what? Please lead me.” And He gave me one name. After Communion and morning prayer, Holy Spirit gave me two more names, and then He said: Pray for these three and more whom I will give you when you begin to intercede. These first three need to come to Jesus to be renewed and refreshed; to experience new Life flowing through them. Listener: As I went into deep intercession for the three whose names had been given to me, Holy Spirit gave me a fourth name and instructions to pray for all four to allow Him to open their eyes to see Jesus, to have a life-changing experience. Then He told me to come against their despair, complacency, fear and self-reliance. At this point Holy Spirit gave me this wonderful revelation: The breastplate of Jesus’ Righteousness, which all Believers wear as part of their spiritual armor, is pure gold, refined to the point of transparency. Those who see you cannot see My Breastplate; they see through the refined pure gold of My Breastplate, and see your heart. If any member of the Body of Christ is yielded to Me, those who see you will see Me in your heart. Now, take up the shield of faith and hold it before those for whom you are praying to protect them from the fiery darts of satan. Pray for them to seek and to yield to My sanctification, which is the helmet of salvation; to take up the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, and to pray always in the Spirit. Pray Psalm 91 for these four and the other six whose names I give you now. For any of these ten who are not saved, pray for a salvation experience which they cannot deny, an experience which will take away their hearts of stone and enable them to receive a new spirit and new hearts filled with My Love. For those who are already saved, pray that their salvation may become real to them. Listener: And then He gave me more specific personal prayers for each one of those whom he had named. I asked Holy Spirit to allow me to pray one of those individual prayers for all of those among the ten who were already saved….that He would renew their first love for God; renew and transform their minds to experience His Presence and the joy of hearing His Voice. For one who is very near and dear to my heart, Holy Spirit told me to pray that what was promised years ago will be manifested, that he will be raised from the spiritually dead to come to Jesus, to walk in newness of Life in the Spirit, gloriously raised to seek the Presence of God and to serve Him. Then Holy Spirit gave me these final words of instruction and encouragement: Listener, make an intercessory notebook and write in it the prayers that I give you from this day forth. Listener: These words were encouraging because they indicated that Holy Spirit was leading me into a renewed focus on intercessory prayer. When He awakened me this morning telling me to intercede, my first thought was that I was to pray about the rapid spread of Covid-19 and for those whose lives are being and will be impacted by this virus. Instead He gave me prayers dealing with the spiritual needs of specific members of the Body and some who are still to be saved. I believe this is a message within a message. He has not yet clarified this, but I have the impression that it has to do with our beginning to view this as a time of spiritual renewal.
