Holy Spirit Speaks: Listener, many times I have asked you to reveal your failures and shortcomings to those to whom you speak and write, using you as an example as I teach others through your mistakes, to help them to recognize and to avoid those mistakes and to demonstrate that I Am able and ready to meet you in your failures and to help you to not only overcome and to recover from them but also to continue to serve God. Today I ask you to reveal the personal blessings which I gave you on the Mountain this morning. Those blessing were for you and those for whom you prayed, but they are also for those who will read and understand the significance of the gift that I gave you and the reason that you were able to receive it…to understand that your answer to the call to intercessory prayer that I issued years ago and to the more recent call to the Mountain to spend time in My Presence as well as your seeking and submitting to My will prepared you to receive that gift. Please note that I did not say that your answer to My calls and your submission entitled you to receive the prayers that I gave you and the assurance of the answers to those prayers. You did not and could not earn those blessings, but your answer to My calls, the fact that you trusted and obeyed… placed you in a position to receive one of the blessings that God has promised to His faithful servants… the desires of your hearts. The prayers have been answered but not yet manifested. They may not be manifested in the immediate future but will come to pass. Now testify! Listener: The words from Holy Spirit which you just read were given at the end of my time on the Mountain this morning. I have recorded them at the beginning of this Daily Bread message to help you to understand the account of what happened there. Holy Spirit awakened me in the Fourth Watch and I responded immediately, without the sleepy fog which sometimes clouds the beginning of my approach to the Mountain. Once there I waited quietly, in great peace. As I waited, I began to pray. I almost stopped when I remembered that the Holy Spirit has instructed me to always wait quietly; but then I realized that He was giving me the words that I prayed. He gave me a beautiful prayer for my grandson…it seemed to be more of a promise than a prayer.. a new job where he will be doing work which will be rewarding and fulfilling even if it is not as financially rewarding as the one he has now…and that he will meet “the love of his life,” a widow who has two young children. I was thanking the Holy Spirit for this blessing when He began to give me an even greater promise for my son, who has been unhappy and frustrated in his work for some time. For him the Holy Spirit promised a new job where he will meet the Love and Lord of his life…Jesus! I had the sense that the promise of “new jobs” also indicated “new lives.” These were unlike any prayers that I have ever prayed in intercession. The Holy Spirit has given me prayers, and He has given me answers to prayers, but He has never given me prayers which were actually the answers…praying the answers…praying prayers which He answered before He gave them to me… perhaps revealing a new dimension in intercessory prayer! Then He gave me another prayer…for someone whom I knew briefly a very long time ago. I do not remember her name, but I do remember that she was kind to me during a difficult period in my life. And I also remembered a time when I know that an unknown intercessor prayed for me…was led by the Holy Spirit to pray for me before I was saved…and my life was spared. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why I accepted the first call that the Lord gave me years ago. I had already experienced the blessing of intercession… on the receiving end. I wrote several pages of praise and thanksgiving, and then Holy Spirit gave me a message for everyone who reads this Daily Bread. He has given you a call. Ask Him to clarify your calling and then follow wherever He leads. If you ask, He will answer. Give Him your life and He will fill it to overflowing. He will fulfill your life with purpose and peace as you follow the path, the destiny that has been laid out for you and to which He is calling and leading you. There is great reward in simply trusting and obeying…spiritual rewards far beyond anything that you can imagine. He knows our hearts; we must allow Him to fill our hearts with His Love. Holy Spirit concludes this message: Today I give you Shalom…in every sense and meaning of that wonderful word.
