Holy Spirit: Yesterday I gave the Listener a vision of a Body of Christ in the Fellowship of Unity in the Spirit…when all individuals in that Body had surrendered, yielded to Me and were walking together in the Spirit as mature or maturing Believers. Such a Body is a powerful weapon which can be used greatly. In the natural realm, you in this remnant Body are few and have little power, but in the spiritual realm you have the potential to be used to “raise the dead,” the lost, who truly are dead spiritually, as well as those Believers who have grown so cold and unresponsive that they appear to be dead spiritually. I concentrate on the remnant Bodies now because it has become virtually impossible to inspire unity in the larger Bodies, where the lukewarm and the cold are in the majority. Even in these remnant Bodies petty earthly differences of opinion and personality conflicts tend to obscure the vision of spiritual unity and to impede the development of true Unity in the Spirit. You must realize, that which unites you in the Spirit is greater than that which divides you in the natural. You are all individual human beings who will never agree on absolutely everything, never find full unity in the natural. But true Unity may be found in the Spirit and evidenced by your Love for God; your trust in God and your desire to obey Him; your seeking to know Him and to do His will; and the praise and worship which you offer to Him. The steps to true Unity in the Body are described in these two passages in Romans. Romans 12:1-5 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. This is amplified in Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. If you are one of those who has already fully yielded to Me, I encourage you to continue to battle in My Strength while you await the awesome reinforcement of My Full Power which will be released when this remnant Body is fully Unified. If you have not yet yielded, if you are an obstacle to this unity, I urge you to wait no longer. Let me be very clear, the importance of My Work through the remnant Bodies must not be discounted. At this time, the larger Bodies are not available: they cannot be unified. I remind you of what I told you months ago…the remnant bodies may be compared to the small boats which rescued the survivors of the Allied Forces in Europe at Dunkirk…and Unity in the Spirit is the Power which will propel those small boats.
