Following dreams which I cannot remember, the Beloved Voice of Holy Spirit awakened me late in the Fourth Watch. I could not distinguish words; did not comprehend what He was telling me and believe that He simply wanted to give me the verbal equivalent of holding me in His Arms. I experiended comfort and Love, and did not desire to emerge from the wonderful place of peace to which He had brought me. He had led me to the “still waters” described in the twenty-third Psalm…and because He was with me, I did not fear when I realized that He might be about to lead me to walk through the “valley of the shadow of death” also mentioned in that Psalm. The blessing of His Presence is beyond compare. If He speaks, His Words enlighten and illuminate. If He simply enables us to experience His Presence we are strengthened and filled with a peace which can be neither described in words nor understood. Our minds are aware that power and wisdom come from abiding in His Presence, but as we abide we simply wish to BE in His Presence…to rest in Him…We truly do serve a Mighty God, but in His Presence this morning, He is enabling me to experience and to attempt to convey His Love rather than His Might or His Wisdom…and without hearing words, I knew that He was immersing me in His Love so that I may carry that Love to others. We truly do carry His Fire, but a significant part of that Fire is His Love. Be blessed as you read this account of resting in Him. Ask for such an experience, and He will answer. Always be aware that Holy Spirit desires to draw us ever closer to Him, and know that experiencing His Presence is beyond description.
