Listener: Holy Spirit did not give me a message for Daily Bread during the night, and even though He frequently speaks later when I am having communion or at morning prayer, today as my day began I experienced some anxiety about not having heard His Voice. Then He spoke: Listener, remember I told you yesterday that the meaning of More is to desire with all your heart not just what I can give to you … but to desire Me … My Presence. Your felt need each morning for a Daily Bread message for the Window has become an impediment to your seeking to abide in Me. It is not wrong for you to desire to receive a Daily Bread message, but it must not become your primary purpose in seeking My Presence. I assured you yesterday that I know the needs of all My children, and I have told you in the past that these messages are even more important to Me than they are to you. But I also know you well; you have an unfortunate tendency to fret about things over which you have no control. We need to work on that, but in the meantime, to make sure that My Presence is more important to you than My message for Daily Bread, we will make the delivery schedule more flexible. Daily Bread will usually be posted Monday through Friday, but there may be days when there is no message. If there is no new post. those to whom you write are instructed to re-read the message given on the previous day. I may wish to place a special emphasis on the repeated message for all readers, or there may be an important aspect of the message which one or more of those who read need to hear a second time. At times there may be a day when there is no message because the Listener needed to just hang out with Me, to rest in the joy and the peace of My Presence without the responsibility of receiving and posting Daily Bread. Listener: I gasped in amazement. Did Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity really just refer to my abiding in His Presence as “hanging out with Him?” Holy Spirit: Would you prefer that I use King James English? Do you not know that I can meet My children where they are; that I speak to you in words to which you can relate? I AM all that you need now or will ever need…and I take pleasure in meeting your needs. Use these words for Daily Bread; they are more “down to earth” than most of the messages that I give to you. I desire to have all who come for Daily Bread to know Me as a Person Who Loves them; Who is concerned about even their smallest needs; Who knows all of their faults and failings and Loves them anyway. It gives Me joy when you come to Me and are so comfortable in My Presence that We can truly “hang out together.” Shalom.
