Holy Spirit: Listener, I know that you are somewhat unsettled and unsure because I did not awaken you to pray as early as usual…and then I instructed you to go to the computer rather than to the Mountain to begin to receive this message. Be reassured, let your mind be quiet…I AM the Mountain. Hear this to provide the confirmation that you seek… the words that you are hearing are being spoken by the Holy Spirit, Who was sent by God the Father at the request of Jesus to indwell all Believers. This morning My first words for you are to accept the topic that I have chosen to address today as well as the way that I have chosen to give you the message and to have you deliver it. Now let us begin with the first phrase of Psalm 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers… We will use the KJV because the phrasing is so appropriate. Fret not thyself expresses precisely what you do to yourself…even though the cause, the reason for your fretting comes from another source, you are the one who takes that reason and builds a fire with it. The Listener, as instructed, gives you an explanation of the meaning of the word “fret:” Briefly, Strong’s definitions of the Hebrew word translated “fret” focus on anger; however, while the majority of English translations simply use the word fret, the words used in other translations help to expand the meaning of “fret,” by giving us different connotations to Strong’s basic definition of “anger” … these words include worry; be agitated, get upset, be provoked, be annoyed, be grieved, trouble yourself. The Holy Spirit continues: Listener, you fretted this morning because you were confused, uncertain about why I was not following the pattern that I usually follow to speak to you each morning…you worried, you were troubled, you doubted. Now, the verse says “do not fret yourself because of evil doers.” So, who was the evil doer in your situation this morning? Obviously not Me, I am the Holy Spirit of God. Obviously not you…you did nothing wrong to initiate the fretting. So who is the evil doer in this case, and I might add, in every case? Obviously the ultimate evildoer. When one of satan’s fiery darts of doubt entered you mind, you sought confirmation that I was truly the One whose Voice you heard…and after you received My confirmation, still you were unsettled…thinking that perhaps you had done something wrong, that it was your fault that there was no quiet trip to the Mountain to begin the day in My Presence. And these were not just passing thoughts…they continued to trouble you as you fanned the flames of that fiery dart of doubt which had penetrated your mind before you took up your shield of faith this morning. You fretted yourself because of the doubt. And how did you escape this fretting? By coming to Me in prayer and by wielding the Sword of the Spirit…the verses in the Word to which I directed you: Psalm 37:1- 7 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.6 And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. So…now do you and those who receive this Daily Bread realize what I have done this morning…the message that I have given to you again. Your enemy has devised so many different ways, so many different methods to attempt to defeat you, to wound you. I AM recruiting an ARMY to battle against him…and I AM training that army. Do not close your ears to My teaching…to My training. Allow Me to engrave the words of Psalm 37:3 in your hearts…Trust in the Lord and do good,…So shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Listener, you remember a time of great trouble in your life when you sang the words of verse 3 every day…many times every day,.. when it was a Promise to which you held tight…a life preserver in a stormy sea. May it so bless those who read this today.
