Holy Spirit speaks: The words that I give you in Daily Bread usually deal with the spiritual realm, but today you have a need for a message relating to the natural realm. The words in Isaiah 3:1-12 describe the situation in your nation today with chilling accuracy. I have selected those verses which are most applicable. Selected verses from Isaiah 3:1-12 For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stock and the store, the whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water … I will give children to be their princes, And babes shall rule over them … For Jerusalem stumbled, and Judah is fallen because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of His glory. The look on their countenance witnesses against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves. Then in verse 10 , he speaks to Believers…Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them for they shall eat the fruit of their doings … and in verse 12 to those who are misled… as for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err and destroy the way of your paths. Those words which are expressed in bold letters could be rephrased in the language of today to describe what you see happening in your country now, especially in regard to your leaders, who are behaving like children…selfish, unthinking, rebellious children who will either have their own way or attempt to destroy what they have sworn to protect and defend. Your culture is descending to greater depths than any of you could have imagined a few years ago…abortion, homosexuality…hidden in shame for centuries and now proclaimed, acclaimed and practiced. I will say no more about your leaders; Isaiah made the point abundantly clear. But, finally, and most deplorable, most devastating, most disastrous...the whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water is being taken away…here we move into the spiritual…the Bread is the Word of God , which has been removed from your schools and is no longer of primary importance in the lives of the people, the Bread is the Body of Christ becoming weak and ineffective… in the natural bread represents that which sustains physical life…but in the much more important spiritual realm, Bread sustains the spiritual Life of a nation.. And the Water…the Living Water which should be flowing, flooding from the Body of Christ is only a trickle. Now, do you remember what I told you a few days ago about the battle in which you are engaged? The first step is to identify the enemy…your enemy is not flesh and blood! Your first step is to identify the enemy…and the second step is to pray. You are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. The bickering and bitter quarreling evident in the higher levels of your earthly government can affect your ability to live in peace . Do not let the spirit of angry accusation, name calling and behavior which would be unacceptable in children destroy your peace. You must rest in Me. The chaos which currently reigns in the governing bodies of your nation must not negatively impact your life. You have a mighty weapon, USE IT. Pray and Stand on the wonderful PROMISE OF GOD in 2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Unfortunately many of those who attempt to stand on this Promise forget that it is conditional … there are four things you, as a people, must do before God is obligated to fulfill His Promise…humble yourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from your wicked ways..to repent. So when you pray, pray for God’s people to meet these conditions. The lukewarm church of Laodicea nauseated Me…and Sodom and Gomorrah incurred My wrath. I do use fire and brimstone when the situation calls for it. Pray for your country, for the people, and for your leaders to regain the sound minds needed for leadership.
