Listener: Holy Spirit has told me that we are not just to wait for the Lord to return for us. As we wait we are to continue to seek His will and to do the work that He has called and is calling us to do. Whether Jesus comes next year or one hundred years from next year, our assignment, our call, is to be ready, and a vital part of being ready is to DO, to do what He tells us to do. One of the things that He has told us to do is to offer our bodies a living sacrifice. Almost two thousand years ago the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 12:1 I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. A living sacrifice indicates a life totally submitted to the will of God. Note that your body is not a burnt offering nor can it be, because you are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).
