Ephesians 6:13-18
Holy Spirit: Beloved, this second message that I give to you will be lengthy, but it is necessary for your protection. If you are reading this, you are seeking a deeper walk with Me, which I most earnestly desire. But, the enemy will not be pleased. You must remember that in these days, these end days, you are in an almost constant battle. Satan will continually attack you. The more committed you are to seeking and doing My will, the more relentlessly he will attack. You must wear the armor provided for you every day. The first three pieces of that armor you received at salvation. The girdle of Truth is your trust in Jesus and His finished work on the cross; He IS the Way, the Truth and the Life. The breastplate of Righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus, which gives you righteous standing in Him before God; standing which is everlasting and cannot be challenged. The shoes of the preparation of the Gospel of Peace enable you to stand firm in your salvation and to be able to move out to do whatever I call you to do and to take this gospel wherever I send you. The Peace in which you stand comes in the midst of battle as well as when I give you rest. The next three pieces of the armor require you to submit your will to Me. The shield of faith is your trust in Me. This is not saving faith, your salvation is already secure. The shield of faith protects you from Satan’s fiery darts of doubt and temptation. If those darts penetrate, your trust in Me wavers, your trust that I will provide for all of your needs, physical as well as spiritual. The helmet of salvation refers to My continuing sanctification of your soul — your mind, will and emotions. You are saved once and for all eternity, but My continuing work of sanctification proceeds only to the extent that you yield your mind, will and emotions to Me so that I may transform you and renew your mind. The last piece of the armor is your primary offensive weapon, the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. In order to use this mighty weapon, you must know it, apply it and speak it. This is the weapon that Jesus used when satan tried to tempt Him in the wilderness. I will give you Rhema, bring passages of Scripture to your mind when you need them in battle, but you must store the Word in your mind and heart through diligent study. You also have another powerful offensive weapon: praying in the Spirit. Satan absolutely hates the prayers of Believers.
