Listener testifies: I believe that the Holy Spirit is taking me to a deeper level of intercession, enabling me to experience the pain in the heart of someone who is not present when the prayer is being spoken. Last night after teaching Bible Study, I stood in for a friend who was hundreds of miles away as we prayed for her to be healed. When the Pastor applied the anointing oil to my forehead and began to pray, I went into another realm spiritually. I remember very little of the prayer, only that it impacted me so powerfully. I had stood in previously for others who were not present, but I had never before experienced such identification with, such oneness with the person for whom we were praying I knew that she was being healed of memories reaching back into her childhood and that new Life was flowing into her. Following the prayer, I spoke briefly with several members of the class, and then, as I walked to my car, realized that I was so exhausted, so drained that I could barely stand. This was very similar to what I had experienced the night almost two years earlier when I had received prayer for and been healed of cancer. For the healing granted tonight and for the privilege and blessing of being allowed to stand in the gap for my friend, I most gratefully Thank You, Lord. Holy Spirit: Last night you were walking in an enhanced aspect of My gift of the Word of Knowledge, which I gave you several years ago to enable you to experience the physical pain of those in the congregation, and which, in your ignorance, you in effect rejected. You have grown spiritually since that time, so last night I allowed you to experience not the physical pain of your friend, but the spiritual anguish in her heart and in her spirit…to become one with her in this pain…so that spiritually, in you, she was here last night to receive the healing which I gave in answer to the prayers offered in her behalf by this body of Believers. You will become one with those for whom I lead you to intercede in this way. This kind of intercession requires you to truly stand in the gap, to take upon yourself the spiritual pain of the person for whom you stand in. Do not shrink from exercising this gift as you did from the exercise of My gift of the Word of Knowledge for physical pain. What you experienced tonight was the grief in the heart of God when one of His children suffers. Cherish this gift; it is the beginning of the overflow of the Seven Spirits of God. You had desired to begin this teaching tonight; I allowed you to experience it. This is the Beginning. As for your friend for whom the class prayed last night, I have always had her healing waiting for her, but she never came to ask for and to claim it. Tell her to come now to claim her healing. I have not only healing for her but also new Life, and joy that she has never known before. Shalom.
