Listener:The subject which will be addressed today is one that you may not welcome…Temptation. The words that you read are the words of the Listener rather than those of the Holy Spirit. He told me that the reason this message is to be in my words rather than His is that He wants you to receive the message from the human perspective as well as from one who was a committed Believer when this took place. I unexpectedly experienced the most dangerous kind of temptation, that which comes when we are spiritually and/or physically weak, and the enemy strikes with a combination of all three sources of temptation … the world, the flesh and the devil. This strong temptation can make us blind to danger and deaf to the warnings of the Holy Spirit as we follow temptation which leads us to walk along the edge of a cliff, precariously balanced, with our eyes and our hearts focused on the temptation rather than on the danger. I will be forever grateful for the persistence of the Holy Spirit and the circumstances which He provided to deliver me from this evil before it became a disaster. If we have truly given our lives to Him, He will be with us when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. These are not just beautifully poetic words, they are TRUTH and REALITY! The spiritual realm is wonderfully real and of vital importance, but God knows that we spend most of our day in the physical realm. We must remember that God knows this, and He has given us Spiritual Truth and the Holy Spirit to protect us.
