Tabula Rasa

Holy Spirit: Memorizing the Word of God is important. In Psalm 119:11 you are told to hide the Word of God in your heart. This is what you do when you memorize Scripture. If you have a problem remembering My exact words, write them down by hand. This will help to set the words in your mind. Write the words found in your favorite translation of the Bible, but be sure to use a translation, not a paraphrase to which the words of man are added in an attempt to explain My message. After you have written the verse or verses, then read them aloud frequently throughout the day. Speaking the words is important; it provides two aspects of the learning process: speaking as well as hearing your own voice saying the Words of God. Continue this process daily until the words are engraved in your heart and mind. Then begin again with another verse, but continue to speak the first verse, and later the other verses that you memorize, at least once a day for some time. When Holy Spirit concluded that portion of the message, He began to speak to me to reassure me that the message which I gave is truly in His words. He told me to share this with you to reassure you as well. His words of reassurance: Remember that when you come to the Mountain you begin by asking Me to make you a tabula rasa, a clean slate to receive My messages. You also know that I have told you that this is the will of God for you. Since this is the will of God for you, you can KNOW that your prayer is heard and answered (1 John 5:13-15). Not only should this quiet your concerns, these are also good verses to begin to store My Word in your heart.
